The Macedonian Struggle

The Paideia Society sponsored a talk by Mr. Valantis Papageorgiou today after Liturgy. The Parish House was packed by a large crowd who enjoyed the luncheon and fellowship offered by Paideia and then listened intently as Mr. Papageorgiou gave us brief but informative introductions in both Greek and English. He then answered many questions that went deeper into the issues involved. Our time with Valantis ended on a note of good cheer as we wished him Chronia Polla, as today, July 28, is the feast-day of St. Irene Chrysovalantou, and hence his name-day!

Members of the Paideia Society pose for a photo with Valantis. Our thanks to Paideia and Father Constantine for planning today’s lecture by Valantis.
