Divine Liturgy – Second Sunday of Lent

The second Sunday of Lent is dedicated to St. Gregory Palamas, whose hesychast teachings constituted the last great victory of Orthodox doctrine against heretical distortions that minimized man’s personal communion with God. Thanks to St. Gregory Palamas, the teachings of the Fathers about theosis (deifying communion with God) received their definitive expression.
